We advise businesses, promoters and institutions across corporate, regulatory, tax and white collar crime matters — combining legal rigour with the commercial perspective of a multi-disciplinary professional services group.

About USG Legal
USG Legal is the legal services practice of the U.S. Gandhi group — a multi-disciplinary professional services firm that has been advising clients for over three decades. We bring that same institutional discipline to legal work.
Our lawyers work alongside chartered accountants and advisory professionals, which allows us to see a mandate in full: the legal position, the financial consequences and the regulatory exposure. Clients receive advice that is comprehensive and creative, yet pragmatic and action-oriented.
We act for families and entrepreneurs, mid-market and large corporates, banks and fund houses, and non-profit organisations. Regardless of size, we treat every client's matter as if it were our own.
"Creative solutions, effective results."
Services & Expertise
Our practice areas are integrated rather than siloed. A single mandate often draws on corporate, tax and white collar crime capability at the same time.
Company law advisory, shareholder and joint venture arrangements, commercial contracts, corporate governance and secretarial support.
Structuring, legal due diligence, transaction documentation and closing support for acquisitions, investments and business transfers.
Advisory and representation in economic offence matters, regulatory and enforcement investigations, internal inquiries and criminal defence strategy.
Direct and indirect tax advisory, representation in assessments and appeals, and guidance on sectoral and exchange control regulation.
Advice and representation under the insolvency framework, debt restructuring, recovery proceedings and creditor-side strategy.
Compliance frameworks, internal policies, investigations support and ongoing advisory on statutory and regulatory obligations.
Why Us
Legal, tax and advisory capability under one roof, so commercial and regulatory consequences are considered together rather than in sequence.
Matters are led by senior professionals from first conversation to conclusion. Clients deal directly with the people responsible for their advice.
Advice is written to be acted on — a clear position, the practical options, and a recommended course of action.
We think and act like business partners rather than service providers, building institutional knowledge of each client over time.
Leadership
USG Legal is led by senior professionals who stay personally involved in the matters they advise on.
